Sojourner Truth House has been in existence since 1978. The 54-bed emergency shelter offers a safe respite for battered women, sexual assault survivors and their children. Each survivor is provided with basic necessities like food, transportation, clothing, warmth, security, empathy, support, counseling and support groups, advocacy services and children’s programming.
