Announcing the 2026 Purple Ribbon Awards!

Learn more or nominate a hopegiver at purpleribbonawards.org starting on January 5th, 2026. Everyone involved in the domestic violence movement is a hopegiver! And that's why DomesticShelters.org, Alliance for HOPE International and experts in the field have combined forces to develop and launch the first comprehensive awards program honoring the countless hopegivers of the domestic violence movement, including advocates, programs and shelters, survivors and volunteers, Family Justice Centers, and members of the community support system. The Purple Ribbon Awards will begin accepting entries January 5, 2026 and the nomination period will closed on February 27, 2026 at 3:59pm ET. Three Medallion Award Winners will be awarded in each category and ALL entries will be acknowledged as honorees with a certificate of recognition. Select entries will receive grants totaling up to $30,000! We all know it’s not easy work. But helping victims, survivors and their families and the relentless pursuit to end domestic violence is fulfilling and necessary work.
